The inaugural
staging of what is hoped will become an
annual 3 day cycling event in Newcastle and Northumberland. Friday
evening saw criterium races for various ages and experience levels held
in Leazes Park. On Sunday top club riders and professionals raced for
the Beaumont Trophy, an event which the organisers wisely.............

200 miles from Edinburgh to Newcastle (although we provided our own
variation by leaving the route at Cresswell and returning direct to
Stamfordham) ridden over 4 days by 5 Velos with support from logistics.

Last minute
problems with the arrangements for the bike taxi meant
having to alter our transport plans. Six riders and bikes were
deposited at Seahouses to begin ...............
